The
"Caverna Generosa" ("Generoso Cave") is located on Monte
Generoso, near the border between Italy and Switzerland.
During
scientific excavations many fossils were found, mainly
belonging to a now extinct species of bear: Ursus
spelaeus, the Cave Bear.
For this
reason the cave is better Known as "The Cave of the Bear". |
